Dr. Donnette P. Green is a dedicated Social Change Strategist, with a profound background in child welfare. Her work emphasizes the transformative power of emotional intelligence for social impact. With over two decades of experience, Dr. Green has championed at-risk youth and provided family counseling, becoming a crucial connector between these communities and essential services. Her understanding of emotional needs and their influence on human behavior is extensive.

Renowned in her community, Dr. Green excels in setting standardized learning objectives and uses facilitation, teaching, and public speaking to inspire change. She holds a PhD in Law and Public Policy, focusing on Kingstonian parents’ perspectives on discipline through corporal punishment, along with a Master of Public Administration and a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology. As a member of organizations like the National Society of Leadership and Success, the Golden Key International Honor Society, and Alpha Phi Sigma Honor Society, she exemplifies leadership and excellence.

Dr. Green is a professor at several universities where she specializes in Social Work & Child Advocacy, Forensic Psychology and the Law, Criminal Minds, Diversity Oppression and Social Justice, Critical Perspectives and Practice in Safeguarding, and Cultural Competence. Committed to broadening her influence, Dr. Green has delivered training for diverse groups, including law enforcement, educators, social workers, corporations and community leaders. Her leadership focuses on bridging communication gaps through restorative practices based on emotional intelligence principles. Dr. Green believes that when individuals and stakeholders understand their emotional dynamics, it enhances behavior improvement, relationship restoration, and effective leadership. She advocates for continuous organizational training to boost employee satisfaction and performance through emotional awareness and cultural competence.

As CEO and founder of Distinctly Guided, Dr. Green offers innovative coaching, consulting, and strategic guidance. Her work integrates emotional intelligence principles to improve outcomes for families, professionals, and community stakeholders. Alongside founding Distinctly Guided, she co-founded the Guided Collaboration Collective and collaborates with Rutgers University. By traveling internationally, she facilitates workshops and mentorship focusing on social-emotional intelligence, positive parenting, and holistic well-being across the global African diaspora.
